That news doesn’t guarantee the NBA will be back playing games on July 31, but it gives fans an idea of when the NBA is looking to resume its season.Both the league and its players still need to agree on details regarding the season’s restart.A number of possibilities were discussed on Friday, according to ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne.Some expect Silver and the NBPA to come up with a plan “inside the next week,” according to Adrian Wojnarowski.The league is reportedly looking into a bubble plan, which would keep all players and teams in one centralized location. Syracuse’s Oshae Brissett shares ACC Rookie of the Week honors

first_imgOshae Brissett earned Atlantic Coast Conference Rookie of the Week honors after a strong two games for Syracuse (18-9, 7-7 Atlantic Coast) this past week. Brissett shared the honor with Virginia’s De’Andre Hunter.The 6-foot-8 freshman starred last Wednesday for the Orange in a losing effort. While the Orange fell to North Carolina State, 74-70, Brissett torched the Wolfpack for a game-high 25 points. That came with a season-best-tying 4-for-7 from beyond the arc and a season-best-tying three steals.On Saturday in Coral Gables, Florida, Brissett helped SU bounce back on the road. Syracuse defeated Miami, 62-55, as the forward tallied the 10th double-double of his SU career. IAAF, adidas launch daily best performer promotion

first_img Each day’s winning athletes will then form a final shortlist – the ‘champion of champions’ shortlist – and voting will take place from Monday, August 31 to Friday, September 4. One athlete will emerge as the overall winner and get the accolade of being the Best Performer of the IAAF World Championships, Beijing 2015, presented by adidas. The overall winner will be announced on September 4, and will be presented with a special Golden Shoe Award at the IAAF Gala in November. ‘CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS’ In conjunction with official IAAF partner, adidas, the IAAF, in a release yesterday, has asked athletics fans around the world to choose the best performers of each day of the IAAF World Championships, Beijing 2015. After each evening session of the championships, which runs from August 22-30, a panel of experts will put together a shortlist of three athletes deemed to be among the day’s best performers. The IAAF will then announce the names of the three athletes – who need not be winners or even medallists, but, nevertheless, are competitors who grab the imagination of the experts – through the IAAF website and social media, opening it up to the public to vote via and decide a winner. The athlete with the most votes will be announced before the following day’s evening session (except for the winner of the final day, which will be announced the following morning, the day after the championships).last_img read more
